The GP35 series was built between October of 1963 and January of 1966, weighs 260,000 lbs and uses a 567D3 16 cylinder diesel prime mover that develops 2500 hp, and 60,500 lb of tractive effort, and carries 1700 gallons of fuel. My thanks to The Diesel Shop for the information.

Springfield Terminal had 16 EMD GP 35 model engines.
