This Baldwin built locomotive is one of the currently working locomotives of the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad of Portland, Maine.

B&SR #8 was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as #57659 in March of 1924 as Bridgton & Saco River #8. It rides on a 38 ton outside frame, has a 2-4-4RT wheel arrangement, a 43″ diameter 180 psi boiler, 12″ x 16″ cylinders, 35″ drivers and a rear tank carries 1000 gallons water & 1.5 tons coal. This locomotive served as Bridgton & Saco River #8 from 1924 to 1930, as Bridgton & Harrison #8 from 1930 to 1941, and Edaville #8 from 1946 to 1999, and as Bridgton & Harrison #8 at the Maine Narrow Gauge from 1999 to the present.
