One place to go in Lewiston is to the east end of the Androscoggin River Bridge at 34-38 Middle St., Lewiston, ME 04240, 44.101991, -70.218568. Just east of there bridge St. looks over the former MEC yard area on one side and the former MEC station on the other. This well preserved station is now a beautiful event venue called Iron Horse Court, and the maine waiting room is now The Royal Oak Room. Simard-Payne Memorial Park was also the Lewiston yard for the Grand Trunk Railroad. Check out the Lewiston Lower Yard page here.
