With a parent company that was willing to put revenue into a failing road the Monson RR (or Two by Six) was the last Two Footer to be abandoned. It was the third Two Footer to arrive in Maine and hauled slate and passengers from Monson to the Bangor & Piscataquis RR, which became the Bangor & Aroostook Greenville branch, at Monson Jct. Edaville bought the two surviving engines and put them in service around the cranberry bogs. Now they see occasional service at the Maine Narrow Gauge.
